A deli container is a round tub with a rim, closed by a lid that snaps over that rim. Capacity is the primary specification — the tub is sized by volume, and the same diameter runs across multiple depths so a family of containers nests and stacks together. That is why deli containers are usually bought as a set across sizes rather than as a single product.

Material is the decision that follows from what you are serving. A clear container shows the product, which matters when the food is the selling point — a layered salad, a colorful fruit cup, a prepared meal in a display case. Polypro is used where a container has to hold hot food, since it tolerates heat differently than a standard clear tub. Material & Lid Compatibility

Material and lid have to be specified together, because a lid is made to fit a specific container rim. A lid that does not match the tub will not seal, and an unsealed container leaks in a delivery bag — which is the single most common failure in takeout packaging.
