Custom Stand-Up Pouches

Self-standing flexible pouches with your brand

Starting around$0.360/eaConfigure for your price

A stand-up pouch stands on a shelf on its own. That is the whole point of the format, and it is achieved with a folded bottom gusset that opens into a flat base when the pouch is filled. The result is a package that behaves like a box for display purposes but weighs and ships like a bag — which is why it has become the default format for snacks, coffee, tea, granola, and specialty dry goods.

About Stand-Up Pouches

A stand-up pouch is a flexible package with a gusseted base that unfolds as the pouch fills, giving it a flat bottom to stand on. Before filling it ships flat, which means you store and freight air rather than structure — the reason flexible packaging has displaced rigid containers across so much of retail.

The format suits brands that want shelf presence without the tooling cost of a rigid container. There is no mould to cut, so a stand-up pouch can carry your artwork across a range of sizes without a separate investment per size.

YaSeen manufactures your pouches after you approve the design and pricing. Your artwork, size, and feature set are recorded against your order, which makes repeat runs straightforward.

Sizes & Capacity

Pouch size is driven by fill weight and product density. A pouch holding 12 oz of ground coffee is a different size from one holding 12 oz of puffed snack, because the two products occupy very different volumes. Tell us what you are packing and we will confirm the dimensions against it.

Features — What the Pouch Can Do

Each feature adds cost, so the right set is the one your product and your customer actually need. These can be combined.

  • Resealable zipper — for products a customer opens repeatedly. Standard on coffee, snacks, and anything sold by weight.
  • Tear notch — a scored opening line so the pouch opens cleanly without scissors.
  • Hang hole — for pegboard or clip-strip display in retail.
  • Degassing valve — vents carbon dioxide from freshly roasted coffee while blocking oxygen.
  • Clear window — shows the product itself, which suits visually distinctive goods.
  • Plain pouch — no additional features, for cost-sensitive runs.

Material & Barrier

The barrier level should match how sensitive your product is to air and moisture. A standard barrier suits shelf-stable dry goods sold reasonably quickly. A high barrier suits products that are oxygen- or moisture-sensitive, or that sit on a shelf for a long time.

We recommend a specific structure for your product rather than publishing a universal answer, because the correct film depends on what you are packing and how long it needs to last.

Printing & Finish

Stand-up pouches carry print on the front and back panels, with the gusset available for additional artwork. Full-panel coverage is the most common choice because the panel is continuous — there is no seam interrupting the design.

  • Matte — soft, premium hand-feel.
  • Gloss — higher contrast and more vivid colour.
  • Soft-touch — a velvet-like matte finish.
  • Natural / uncoated — a rustic, tactile surface for craft positioning.

How Pricing Works

Pouch pricing depends on size, material and barrier structure, which features are fitted, the finish, how much print coverage your artwork uses, and the quantity you run. A zippered, high-barrier, soft-touch pouch costs meaningfully more per unit than a plain standard-barrier pouch.

Larger runs lower the cost per unit. Submit your configuration and a specialist returns pricing for your exact combination, including what the price covers — pouch, printing, features, freight, and artwork setup.

Artwork Requirements

For the cleanest print result, supply vector artwork. Vector files scale across your full size range without losing edge quality.

  • Preferred: AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF — vector formats.
  • Acceptable: PNG or JPG at high resolution.
  • If you only have your logo, we can prepare the pouch layout for you.
  • A colour reference — hex code, Pantone number, or a physical sample — helps us match accurately.

Minimum Order Quantity

Pouch minimums depend on the size, the barrier structure, and which features are fitted. Tell us your target quantity in the configurator and we will confirm the actual minimum for your build.

Production & Delivery

These pouches are custom manufactured after you approve the design and pricing — they are not pulled from stock. The sequence is: configure your specifications, receive a free digital mockup, approve the design and pricing, manufacturing begins, then the completed order is delivered nationwide.

Reordering

Because your specifications and approved artwork are recorded against your order, reordering is a matter of confirming your previous configuration and quantity. Tell a specialist you are reordering and reference your previous project.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a stand-up pouch?+
A flexible package with a folded bottom gusset that opens into a flat base when filled, so it stands upright on a shelf. It ships flat and unfilled, which makes it efficient to store and freight.
Zipper or non-zipper?+
A zipper suits products your customer opens repeatedly — coffee, snacks, anything sold by weight. A plain pouch suits single-use portions or cost-sensitive runs. Both are available and can be combined with other features.
What sizes can I order?+
We manufacture small (single-serve and sample), medium (standard retail), and large (family and bulk) pouches, with custom capacities by request. Pouch size follows fill weight and product density, so tell us what you are packing and we will confirm dimensions.
What material is used?+
Barrier structure is recommended against your specific product and required shelf life, then confirmed with your quote. Standard barrier suits shelf-stable dry goods; high barrier suits oxygen- or moisture-sensitive products.
Can I print my logo on the pouches?+
Yes. Full-panel printing is available with matte, gloss, soft-touch, and natural finishes. We review your artwork and send a digital mockup before production.
How much do custom stand-up pouches cost?+
Pricing depends on size, material, features, finish, print coverage, and quantity. Larger runs reduce the cost per unit, so we quote across volume tiers. Submit your configuration and a specialist will return pricing for your exact combination.
What is the minimum order quantity?+
Minimum order quantity depends on size, material, and fitted features. It is confirmed with your quote — we do not publish an unverified minimum.
Do you ship nationwide?+
Yes — completed orders are delivered to businesses across the United States. Freight is calculated as part of your quote based on your delivery location and order size.
Can I order pouches together with other packaging?+
Yes. Many customers combine pouches with case boxes, labels, and café or retail packaging in a single order, which reduces the number of suppliers they manage.
What file format should my logo be in?+
Vector files are best — AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF — because they scale cleanly across every size in your range. High-resolution PNG or JPG also works.

Production Time and Shipping Time Are Different

Production time is the time required to manufacture your packaging. Transit time is the time required to transport it to you. These are separate — a production window is not a delivery date, and every project's timeline is confirmed with your final quote.

Express

Best when speed matters most. Faster transportation may be available depending on the product, quantity, manufacturing location, shipment size, destination and carrier availability. Express transportation can cost significantly more than standard, and an exact transit time is confirmed with your freight quote.

Standard

Best when you want a balance between delivery cost and transit time. Standard freight is generally the more economical option when your schedule allows additional flexibility. Actual transit time and freight cost are confirmed with your final quote.

Large-volume freight

Larger orders are not handled as ordinary parcel shipments. Depending on size and destination this may involve palletized freight, LTL, air, ocean, partial-container (LCL) or full-container (FCL) arrangements. YaSeen determines the appropriate method for your actual project and quotes it accordingly.

If you are unsure, our team will recommend the option that best fits your deadline, quantity and destination once your project has been reviewed.
