About Custom Pizza Boxes

A pizza box is a piece of corrugated board folded into a shallow tray with a hinged lid. Standard pizza boxes use B-flute corrugated — a single layer of fluting between two liners — which gives the box enough rigidity to hold a hot pie without crushing, while staying thin enough to stack and store flat when empty.

The lid is the important surface. When the box is open on a table, the underside of the lid faces up toward the people eating, and the top faces outward during delivery. That means both faces are visible at different moments, which is why print coverage is the decision most pizzerias spend the most time on.

The other structural choice is venting. A hot pizza releases steam, and trapped steam softens the crust. Vents allow moisture to escape during the delivery window. Vent options depend on the box style, so tell us what you are serving and we will confirm what is available for your size.

Board & Construction

The board is what decides how a box performs on a delivery route. Heavier board resists crushing when boxes are stacked, and holds its shape better when the pizza is hot and the driver is moving.

Minimum order quantity depends on the box size, the board grade, and the print setup your artwork requires, and is confirmed with your quote. We do not publish an unverified minimum, because a box that shares tooling with a common size can start smaller than a fully custom footprint.

Pizza boxes are custom manufactured after you approve the design and pricing — they are not pulled from stock. The sequence is: configure your specifications, receive a free digital mockup, approve the design and pricing, manufacturing begins, then the completed order is delivered nationwide.

Production timing and freight depend on the box, quantity, and your delivery location, so they are confirmed as part of your quote rather than estimated here.
