Custom Bagel Bags

Gusseted bags for bagels and rolls

Starting around$0.210/eaConfigure for your price

Bagels are sold by the half dozen and the dozen, which makes the bag a unit-of-sale decision as much as a packaging one. It has to hold the count you actually sell, stand up on a counter while it is being filled, and keep the crust from going soft before the customer gets it home. A gusseted paper bag does all three.

About Bagel Bags

A bagel bag is a gusseted paper bag with a side fold that expands as it fills. The gusset is what makes the format work here: a flat bag packed with a dozen bagels bulges awkwardly and tears at the seams, while a gusseted bag opens into volume and stands on the counter during loading.

The count you sell drives the size. A shop selling mostly singles needs a different bag from one whose business is dozens for offices and families, and most bagel shops end up stocking two sizes.

YaSeen manufactures your bags after you approve the design and pricing. Your size, paper, and artwork are recorded against your order, which makes repeat runs straightforward.

Sizes

Bagel bags are sized by count rather than weight, because a bagel order is a counted unit. These are the bands we manufacture most often.

Closure Options

Bagel shops usually choose between two closures depending on whether the bag leaves open or closed.

  • Open top — the standard. Fast to pack and the customer carries it by the base or the top turn.
  • Fold-over top — folds and tucks to hold the bagels in, useful for delivery and pre-packed orders.
  • Tin tie — a bendable strip so the bag can be reclosed at home, which keeps the remaining bagels fresher.
  • Window — a clear panel showing the bagels, which helps at a display counter.

Paper & Presentation

Bagel shops sit somewhere between a bakery and a deli, so the paper choice usually follows the shop's overall look rather than a packaging rule.

  • Natural kraft — the traditional look for a bagel shop. Warm, unbleached, and it prints cleanly.
  • White — brighter and more contemporary, with truer colour for detailed artwork.
  • Grease-resistant grade — for buttered, egg-washed, or seeded bagels, confirmed with your quote.
  • Custom brand colour — available by request.

Printing

Bagel bags are typically printed on one or both faces. Because the bag is usually carried with the printed face out, a strong single-face design often does all the work you need.

  • One side — logo and name on the front face. The most common and most economical choice.
  • Two sides — artwork on both faces, plus space for a menu, hours, or a catering prompt.
  • Full coverage — artwork continuing across the gussets.
  • Brand colour match — bags printed or sourced in your brand colour.

How Pricing Works

Bagel bag pricing depends on the size, the paper grade, the closure, whether a window is fitted, how much print coverage your artwork uses, and the quantity you run. A half-dozen bag and a dozen bag are different sizes at different unit prices.

Larger runs lower the cost per unit. Submit your configuration and a specialist returns pricing for your exact combination, including what the price covers — bag, window, printing, freight, and artwork setup.

Artwork Requirements

Supply vector artwork for the cleanest print result. Bagel bags are usually seen flat and stacked, so a bold, high-contrast design reads better than fine detail.

  • Preferred: AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF — vector formats.
  • Acceptable: PNG or JPG at high resolution.
  • If you only have your logo, we can prepare the bag layout for you.
  • A colour reference — hex code, Pantone number, or a physical sample — helps us match accurately.

Minimum Order Quantity

Minimums depend on the size, the paper, and the print setup your artwork requires. Tell us your target quantity in the configurator and we will confirm the actual minimum for your build.

Production & Delivery

These bags are custom manufactured after you approve the design and pricing — they are not pulled from stock. The sequence is: configure your specifications, receive a free digital mockup, approve the design and pricing, manufacturing begins, then the completed order is delivered nationwide.

Reordering

Because your size, paper, closure, and approved artwork are recorded against your order, reordering is a matter of confirming your previous configuration and quantity. Most bagel shops reorder on a predictable weekly or monthly cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size bag should I use for a dozen bagels?+
The dozen size is the most common bagel bag we manufacture. Tell us your order mix — singles, half dozens, dozens — and we will confirm which sizes to stock.
Why do bagel bags have a gusset?+
A gusset lets the bag expand as it fills, so a dozen bagels loads without bulging or stressing the seams, and the bag stands on the counter while it is being packed.
What closure options are available?+
Open top, fold-over top, and tin tie closures are available, and any can be combined with a window. Tin tie lets customers reseal the bag at home.
Can I print my logo on the bags?+
Yes. One-side, two-side, and full-coverage printing are available, plus brand colour matching. We review your artwork and send a digital mockup before production.
How much do custom bagel bags cost?+
Pricing depends on size, paper grade, closure, window, print coverage, and quantity. Larger runs reduce the cost per unit, so we quote across volume tiers. Submit your configuration for pricing on your exact combination.
What is the minimum order quantity?+
Minimum order quantity depends on size, paper, and printing. It is confirmed with your quote — we do not publish an unverified minimum.
Do you ship nationwide?+
Yes — completed orders are delivered to businesses across the United States. Freight is calculated as part of your quote based on your delivery location and order size.
Can I order bagel bags together with other packaging?+
Yes. Many shops combine bagel bags with bakery bags, coffee cups, napkins, and food labels in a single order, which reduces the number of suppliers they manage.
What file format should my logo be in?+
Vector files are best — AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF — because they scale cleanly across every bag size in your range. High-resolution PNG or JPG also works.

Production Time and Shipping Time Are Different

Production time is the time required to manufacture your packaging. Transit time is the time required to transport it to you. These are separate — a production window is not a delivery date, and every project's timeline is confirmed with your final quote.

Express

Best when speed matters most. Faster transportation may be available depending on the product, quantity, manufacturing location, shipment size, destination and carrier availability. Express transportation can cost significantly more than standard, and an exact transit time is confirmed with your freight quote.

Standard

Best when you want a balance between delivery cost and transit time. Standard freight is generally the more economical option when your schedule allows additional flexibility. Actual transit time and freight cost are confirmed with your final quote.

Large-volume freight

Larger orders are not handled as ordinary parcel shipments. Depending on size and destination this may involve palletized freight, LTL, air, ocean, partial-container (LCL) or full-container (FCL) arrangements. YaSeen determines the appropriate method for your actual project and quotes it accordingly.
