There are three common ways to present an artisan loaf, and each suits a different retail setting.

  • Tall paper bag — a full-height bag, sometimes with a fold-over top, that the loaf slides into whole. The standard for takeaway bread.
  • Window bag — adds a clear panel so the scoring and crust are visible, which is what sells artisan bread in a display case.
  • Wrap and band — a paper wrap around the middle with a printed band. Leaves the crust exposed and reads as the most craft-forward option.

Paper & Presentation

The paper you choose is both a functional and a positioning decision — artisan bread packaging carries more of the brand story than almost any other bag in a bakery.

  • Natural kraft — the traditional artisan look. Warm, unbleached, and it reads craft immediately.
  • White — brighter and more contemporary, with truer colour for detailed artwork.
  • Grease-resistant grade — for loaves with oil, butter, or cheese in the crust.
  • Custom brand colour — available by request and confirmed with your quote.

Closure Options

How the bag closes determines how the loaf travels and how the customer handles it at home.

  • Open top — the loaf is presented and carried unwrapped at the top. Common for same-day consumption.
  • Fold-over top — the top folds over, holding the loaf without a tie.
  • Tin tie — a bendable strip so the bag can be reclosed. Useful when part of the loaf is eaten later.
  • Band or sleeve — a printed paper band around the middle as an alternative to a full bag.

Artwork Requirements

Supply vector artwork for the cleanest print result. Artisan bread bags are usually seen flat on a shelf or in a display case, so a bold, simple design reads better than fine detail.

  • Acceptable: PNG or JPG at high resolution.
  • If you only have your logo, we can prepare the bag layout for you.

Express

Best when speed matters most. Faster transportation may be available depending on the product, quantity, manufacturing location, shipment size, destination and carrier availability. Express transportation can cost significantly more than standard, and an exact transit time is confirmed with your freight quote.

Standard

Best when you want a balance between delivery cost and transit time. Standard freight is generally the more economical option when your schedule allows additional flexibility. Actual transit time and freight cost are confirmed with your final quote.

Large-volume freight

Larger orders are not handled as ordinary parcel shipments. Depending on size and destination this may involve palletized freight, LTL, air, ocean, partial-container (LCL) or full-container (FCL) arrangements.
