Custom Bakery Window Bags

Bags with a clear panel that shows the product

Starting around$0.270/eaConfigure for your price

A window bag answers the oldest problem in food retail: nobody buys what they cannot see. The clear panel lets the pastry, cookie, or loaf sell itself while the paper around it carries your brand. It is the format that appears most often in bakery display cases for exactly that reason — product visibility and branding on the same package.

About Window Bags

A window bag is a paper bag with a die-cut opening covered by a clear film panel. The paper does the branding, the film does the showing, and the two sit on the same face — which is why the format is so common in bakery display cases.

Window construction adds cost over a plain bag, because the panel has to be cut and the film applied. What it buys is a package that merchandises the product rather than hiding it, and for visually appealing food that is usually worth the difference.

YaSeen manufactures your bags after you approve the design and pricing. Your size, window spec, and artwork are recorded against your order, which makes repeat runs straightforward.

Window Shapes & Placement

The window shape is a design decision as much as a functional one — it frames the product and determines how much paper is left for print.

  • Full-front rectangle — the largest window. Maximum product visibility, least print area.
  • Small centred window — a peep-hole style panel. Framing reads as deliberate and leaves most of the face for branding.
  • Shape-cut window — an oval, arched, or contoured panel. Available by request and confirmed with your quote.
  • Wrap-around window — the panel continues onto the gusset, showing more of the product from the side.

Sizes

Window bags are sized to the product rather than by fill weight, and the product's shape matters as much as its volume — a croissant and a brownie of the same weight need different openings. Tell us what you bake and we will confirm dimensions.

Paper & Grease Resistance

A window bag is the format most exposed to the grease problem, because the product sits directly against the film and the panel makes any migration visible. Paper grade matters more here than on a full paper bag.

  • Natural kraft — the traditional bakery look; hides minor grease marks better than white.
  • White — brighter presentation and truer colour reproduction for detailed artwork.
  • Grease-resistant grade — recommended for buttery, oily, or warm products and confirmed against your product with your quote.
  • Custom brand colour — available by request.

Closure Options

Any closure can be combined with a window, and the choice usually follows how the product is sold.

  • Open top — fastest to pack; the standard for counter sales.
  • Fold-over top — holds a multi-pack or loaf closed without a tie.
  • Tin tie — resealable, best for cookies and dry goods sold by weight.
  • Flat bottom — a standing format that displays upright on a shelf.

How Pricing Works

Window bag pricing depends on the size, the paper grade, the window shape and coverage, the closure, how much print coverage your artwork uses, and the quantity you run. The window cut and film application are what make it cost more than an equivalent plain bag.

Larger runs lower the cost per unit. Submit your configuration and a specialist returns pricing for your exact combination, including what the price covers — bag, window, printing, freight, and artwork setup.

Artwork Requirements

Supply vector artwork for the cleanest print result, and bear the window position in mind — the design has to work around the opening rather than competing with the product inside it.

  • Preferred: AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF — vector formats.
  • Acceptable: PNG or JPG at high resolution.
  • If you only have your logo, we can prepare the bag layout for you.
  • A colour reference — hex code, Pantone number, or a physical sample — helps us match accurately.

Minimum Order Quantity

Minimums depend on the size, the paper, the window specification, and the print setup your artwork requires. Tell us your target quantity in the configurator and we will confirm the actual minimum for your build.

Production & Delivery

These bags are custom manufactured after you approve the design and pricing — they are not pulled from stock. The sequence is: configure your specifications, receive a free digital mockup, approve the design and pricing, manufacturing begins, then the completed order is delivered nationwide.

Reordering

Because your dimensions, paper, window spec, and approved artwork are recorded against your order, reordering is a matter of confirming your previous configuration and quantity. Tell a specialist you are reordering and reference your previous project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a window bag instead of a plain bag?+
A window lets the product sell itself, which matters most for visually appealing food — pastries, cookies, artisan bread. A plain bag is more economical and gives more print area if your branding is doing the work instead.
What window shapes are available?+
Full-front, small centred, shape-cut (oval or arched), and wrap-around windows are all available. Shape-cut and wrap-around configurations are confirmed with your quote.
Which paper should I use?+
Kraft hides minor grease marks better and reads traditional. White gives truer colour for detailed artwork. For buttery or warm products we recommend a grease-resistant grade, confirmed against your product.
Can I print my logo on the bags?+
Yes. The paper area around the window is printed with your artwork. One-side, two-side, and full-coverage printing are available. We send a digital mockup before production.
How much do custom window bags cost?+
Pricing depends on size, paper grade, window shape and coverage, closure, print coverage, and quantity. The window cut and film application make it cost more than an equivalent plain bag. Submit your configuration for pricing on your exact combination.
What is the minimum order quantity?+
Minimum order quantity depends on size, paper, window spec, and printing. It is confirmed with your quote — we do not publish an unverified minimum.
Do you ship nationwide?+
Yes — completed orders are delivered to businesses across the United States. Freight is calculated as part of your quote based on your delivery location and order size.
Can I order window bags together with other packaging?+
Yes. Many bakeries combine window bags with plain bakery bags, cookie bags, food labels, and cake packaging in a single order, which reduces the number of suppliers they manage.
What file format should my logo be in?+
Vector files are best — AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF — because they scale cleanly across every bag size in your range. High-resolution PNG or JPG also works.

Production Time and Shipping Time Are Different

Production time is the time required to manufacture your packaging. Transit time is the time required to transport it to you. These are separate — a production window is not a delivery date, and every project's timeline is confirmed with your final quote.

Express

Best when speed matters most. Faster transportation may be available depending on the product, quantity, manufacturing location, shipment size, destination and carrier availability. Express transportation can cost significantly more than standard, and an exact transit time is confirmed with your freight quote.

Standard

Best when you want a balance between delivery cost and transit time. Standard freight is generally the more economical option when your schedule allows additional flexibility. Actual transit time and freight cost are confirmed with your final quote.

Large-volume freight

Larger orders are not handled as ordinary parcel shipments. Depending on size and destination this may involve palletized freight, LTL, air, ocean, partial-container (LCL) or full-container (FCL) arrangements. YaSeen determines the appropriate method for your actual project and quotes it accordingly.

If you are unsure, our team will recommend the option that best fits your deadline, quantity and destination once your project has been reviewed.
