Artwork & Design Approval Policy

This page explains how artwork and design approval works at YaSeen Packaging: ordering without a finished file, the free digital mockup, what approving it means, and when your production estimate begins.

The short version

You can order without sending artwork — tell us you will send it later and we will collect it from you.

You then receive a free digital mockup showing your artwork on your product.

Production begins only after you approve that mockup — nothing is printed before then, and the production clock starts at your approval rather than at your order.

1.You can order without artwork ready

You do not need a finished design file to place an order. If your artwork is not ready, or you would rather discuss it first, select that option when you configure and we will contact you to collect it.

Your order is recorded with the artwork marked as pending, so our team knows to follow up. Nothing is manufactured until the artwork has been supplied and approved — so ordering early does not commit you to a design you have not settled.

If you need help preparing the artwork itself, tell us when you order. We can lay out your design for you.

2.How we collect your artwork

A specialist contacts you using the details on your order to collect your logo and any design files, and to confirm what you want on the product. If there are questions about colour, placement or the dimensions of your design, this is where they are raised — before anything is produced.

What we can accept, and what we decline to print, is set out in our Artwork Standards. It is worth reading before you prepare a file.

3.The free digital mockup

Before production we prepare a digital mockup showing how your artwork sits on the product you ordered — placement, layout, spelling and colour. It costs nothing and requires no production order.

The mockup is a design representation rather than a photograph of finished goods. Colour can appear differently on a screen than it prints, and the mockup is the point at which that is checked rather than discovered afterwards.

Included revision rounds

Your free digital mockup includes up to two reasonable revision rounds before you give final approval.

A revision round covers changes to the proposed artwork or its layout on the product.

If further revision rounds are needed, they may require a separately quoted fee. Any such fee is disclosed to you and approved by you before the additional work proceeds.

Production begins only after the required payment is satisfied and you have given final approval of the artwork.

4.Approval is what starts production

Nothing is printed until you approve the mockup. Your approval confirms the spelling, colours, sizes, quantities and print placement shown, and it is the instruction to manufacture.

Because that is true, approval is worth a careful look — it is the last moment at which a change costs nothing. Check your business name, your colours and your layout before you confirm.

Production does not begin at payment alone. It begins once both the payment requirements for your order are satisfied and your artwork is approved.

5.When your production estimate begins

Your production estimate is measured from final artwork and order approval — not from the date you enquired, and not from payment alone. A customer who measures from the wrong end would be told a date that was never offered, so this is stated plainly.

Custom cups and drinkware

Production: approximately 10–15 business days after final artwork approval.

Standard shipping transit: typically 3–4 weeks after dispatch.

Estimated total: approximately 5–7 weeks after final artwork approval.

These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates, and apply to cups and drinkware. Other product families have their own production characteristics, so their timelines are confirmed with your quote rather than assumed from these.

6.Changes after approval

Once your artwork is approved and production has begun, the run is already being manufactured to what you approved, so a change may not be possible — and where it is, it can affect the cost and the schedule. If you need to change something, tell us immediately and we will tell you what is still possible and what it would involve before anything is done.

We will not apply a change charge without telling you first and agreeing it with you.

Changes requested after approval

Once you have approved the artwork, whether a change is still possible depends on the production stage and on what is feasible for your product and quantity. Tell us immediately and we will tell you what can still be done before anything is actioned.

Where a change is possible, any additional cost is quoted to you in advance and requires your approval before the work proceeds. A change may also extend your production or delivery estimate.

Once manufacturing has begun, some changes may no longer be possible at all, because the run is already in production to the specification you approved.

7.Your artwork stays yours

You keep ownership of the artwork you send us. We use it to produce your order and to prepare your mockup, and we keep it on file so a repeat order can be produced to the same specification.

You confirm that you have the right to use any logo, image, typeface or design you send us, and that printing it does not infringe anyone else's rights. If you are unsure whether you hold the necessary rights, raise it with us before ordering.

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the information and files you send, and how to ask us to delete them.
