Refund and Cancellation Policy

Our packaging is manufactured specifically for your business, to your artwork and your specification. This policy explains when an order can be cancelled, when a refund applies, and what we do if something we made is wrong.

Last updated October 2026 (draft)

Draft for owner review. This page has not been legally reviewed or approved for publication. Items marked “Owner decision required” are commercial choices that must be made before the text is final.

The short version

Before production starts: you can request cancellation, and any payment you have made is refunded — less only a design or preparation charge that was disclosed and agreed to beforehand.

After artwork approval, once production has begun: the run is being manufactured to your specification and cannot be resold, so custom-printed orders generally cannot be cancelled or refunded because you changed your mind.

Damaged, defective or incorrect: that is on us, and we will review it and put it right — whatever stage the order has reached. Tell us within 7 calendar days of delivery.

1.Why custom orders differ

Most packaging we sell is printed with your artwork and produced in the sizes and quantities you specify. It is not a stocked item that can go back on a shelf and be sold to someone else. Once your design is approved and production begins, the material, the printing plates or tooling and the machine time are all committed to your order specifically.

This is why a custom order cannot be treated like a retail return. We state it plainly here so that the terms below are understood in advance rather than at the point of a problem.

2.Approval before production

We do not begin manufacturing until you have approved the artwork and the order specification. Before that point you will have received a free digital mockup showing how your design is laid out on the product, and a quote confirming the specification, quantity and delivered price.

Please review the mockup carefully. Your approval is what authorises production, so it is the point at which the spelling of your business name, your colours, your sizes, your quantities and your artwork placement should all be confirmed. If something is wrong, tell us before you approve it — that is the moment it costs nothing to change.

Note for the owner: confirm that the approval step is recorded in writing (email or form submission) for every order, since this clause depends on that record existing.

3.Damaged, defective or incorrect products

If your order does not match what you approved, or arrives damaged, or we produced it incorrectly, we will review it and put it right. Depending on the circumstances, that may mean:

  • Replacing the affected portion of your order at our cost.
  • Reprinting or correcting it where that resolves the problem.
  • A refund where the order cannot be corrected or replaced in time for your needs.
  • A partial refund where only part of the order is affected and the rest is usable.

Report a problem within 7 calendar days of delivery

Please tell us about damage, defects or an incorrect order within 7 calendar days of delivery so we can assess and resolve it promptly.

Photographs of the affected packaging and the delivery packaging help us identify what happened, and in most cases we can resolve it without you returning anything.

This request does not eliminate or shorten any longer right you have under the law that applies to your purchase, and it does not apply to defects we caused. See Your statutory rights below.

4.Cancelling an order

Before production begins — Before production begins, you may request cancellation. Any charges that would apply are disclosed to you and agreed before they are applied — we do not deduct a charge for work you were not told about in advance.

After artwork approval, once production has begun — Custom-made packaging is manufactured to your specification and cannot be resold, so once production has begun an order generally cannot be canceled or refunded because you have changed your mind. This is subject to the law that applies to your purchase. See Your statutory rights below.

If you ask us to stop after production has started, we will tell you what has already been committed and whether any part of the order can still be halted. Any refund in that situation is confirmed with you in writing before it is processed.

What this does not affect

This does not affect our responsibility for verified defects, incorrect products or manufacturing errors, and it does not limit any non-waivable right you have by law.

Changes requested after approval

Once you have approved the artwork, whether a change is still possible depends on the production stage and on what is feasible for your product and quantity. Tell us immediately and we will tell you what can still be done before anything is actioned.

Where a change is possible, any additional cost is quoted to you in advance and requires your approval before the work proceeds. A change may also extend your production or delivery estimate.

Once manufacturing has begun, some changes may no longer be possible at all, because the run is already in production to the specification you approved.

5.Samples

Physical samples, where available, are requested before a full order and are described on our Samples and Consultation page. Because a sample is a physical item produced and shipped, it is not refundable once it has been sent.

Any credit toward a future order is confirmed with you in writing at the time you request the sample. We do not apply a sample credit automatically, and we do not state a credit here that we have not agreed to.

6.What is not refundable

Refunds do not apply where:

  • The order matches the artwork and specification you approved, including any error that was present in the approved mockup — for example a spelling or colour that was approved before production.
  • The packaging has been used, partially consumed, or disposed of before the issue was reported to us.
  • The issue arises from artwork files you supplied that were low-resolution, or from a print method you specifically requested against our advice.
  • The order is delayed by a carrier after it has left our control — see our Shipping Policy. We will still help you pursue the carrier.

Note for the owner: confirm the artwork-quality clause against your actual practice, and that your Artwork Standards page is what customers are pointed to for file requirements.

7.How to request a refund

Email info@yaseenpackaging.com or call us, with your order details and a description of the problem. We will acknowledge your request, tell you what we intend to do, and confirm it in writing.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

Approved refunds are generally processed within 10 business days after we approve them.

Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to make the credit available to you, which is outside our control.

8.Before you dispute a payment

If something is wrong with your order, please contact us first. We can usually resolve a problem faster than a payment dispute, which involves your bank and can take considerably longer.

If you do raise a dispute with your card issuer, we will respond with the order record, including the artwork and specification you approved. We would rather fix the problem directly.

9.Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any right you have under the law that applies to your purchase. Where a legal right gives you more than this policy does, that right applies.

Note for the owner: this clause is deliberately general. If you sell to consumers as well as businesses in a specific state or country, have the policy reviewed for the rights that jurisdiction grants — some cannot be varied by a policy at all.
