About Custom Cup Sleeves
A cup sleeve is a printed paper band, scored and formed to slide over a hot cup and grip it. It sits where the customer's hand sits, which is why it insulates; and it sits where the customer's eyes sit during service, which is why it is one of the most effective pieces of branded packaging a café or restaurant can produce.
On a single-wall hot cup the sleeve does two jobs at once. It carries the customer's hand away from a hot paper wall, and it carries the brand away from the cup wall behind it, which is partly hidden during service. On a double-wall or ripple-wall cup the sleeve is optional; the cup insulates on its own. Sleeves are ordered standalone by buyers who already hold compatible cups, and they are ordered alongside cups by buyers who want one delivery, matched colors, and one artwork system across the program.
Fit & Compatibility
Sleeve sizing is nominal between suppliers: a sleeve rated for a 12 oz cup from one maker may not fit a 12 oz cup from another. The only reliable way to confirm fit is to send a sample cup and have the sleeve measured against it before manufacturing. We confirm fit that way, and a buyer who already has compatible cups can send one sleeve sample back for measurement before the order goes to production.

Cup Fit Is the Whole Question With Sleeves
Sleeve sizing is nominal between suppliers. A sleeve rated for a 12 oz cup from one maker may not fit a 12 oz cup from another, so the size name alone will not get you a correct fit.

Choosing the Stock
White stock
The brightest base and the highest contrast, so colors read closest to how they appear on screen. The usual choice when the artwork is the point.
Kraft stock
A natural base that colors sit against rather than on. Warmer and more tactile, and the standard for craft and specialty programs.
Matching a cup or bag program
If you already print cups or bags in a base tone, the sleeve can be produced to match so the program reads as one set rather than two.
Undecided
Send the artwork and we will show it on both stocks in the mockup. It is much easier to judge against your actual design than in the abstract.

Artwork Requirements
